MEDIA ADVISORY:

Pilot Union’s President Available for Comments in Potential Comair Strike

WASHINGTON, D.C.---The president of the Air Line Pilot’s Association, Capt. Duane Woerth, will be available Sunday afternoon and evening for telephone interviews during the countdown to a potential pilot strike at Comair.

Because of the fluid situation during that time period, requests for interviews with Capt. Woerth will be coordinated through the Comair pilots’ strike center in Cincinnati using a special temporary cell phone number, (301) 325-0635. Reporters should provide a number where they can be reached with a call-back on Sunday afternoon.

Note that routine requests for specific information about the ongoing negotiations and/or potential strike should be addressed to the Comair pilots’ spokesman, Capt. Paul Lackie in the Cincinnati area at (859) 282-2534. President Woerth will be available only during the Sunday afternoon window, and only to discuss the Comair developments. Questions about the other ongoing pilot labor situation, at Delta, should be addressed to the ALPA office in Atlanta, (404) 763-4925.
