PARK CITY, UT --- Delta Air Lines pilot representatives today elected Capt. Will Buergey, of New York City, as Chairman of the Delta Master Executive Council, a unit of the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA). Capt. R.B. Vaughn was elected Vice Chairman and First Officer Jim Icenhour was reelected Secretary-Treasurer. The new officers’ two-year terms begin on October 1, 2001.

"I look forwarding to serving the Delta pilots during this important time as we implement and enforce the provisions of our new contract," said Capt. Buergey. "The airline industry is dynamic and will undoubtedly present many challenges to the Delta pilots over the next two years. Protecting the jobs and careers of the Delta pilots will be my utmost priority."
