DAYTON, OH – The PSA pilot leadership, as represented by the Air Line Pilots Association International (ALPA), has ratified a new collective bargaining agreement with management. The pilot group’s Negotiating Committee reached a tentative agreement on March 1, 2002, following three days of contract talks, and the Master Executive Council (MEC), the pilot group’s governing body, voted to accept the proposed contract late last night.

Capt. Steven Toothe, chairman of the PSA MEC, stated: "Our negotiating committee has spent a tremendous amount of time reviewing feedback from a recent pilot poll and considering the circumstances we face. Armed with this information, the committee managed to negotiate an improved contact under what has to be considered challenging times for both our parent company and the industry. We are pleased with their efforts."

The new contract includes significant improvements in pay rates, work rules, retirement, and other areas of the contract. The PSA pilots have been in contact negotiations for over two years and their previous contract became amendable on February 1, 2000.

PSA Airlines operates as a US Airways Express carrier and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the US Airways Group. PSA operates a fleet of 25 Dornier 328s throughout the Midwest and eastern United States.
