DHL Pilots Elect New Union Officers for ALPA Master Executive Council

CINCINNATI --- Members of the DHL pilots group of the Air Line Pilots Association, International, introduced their newly elected officers at a meeting of the union this morning. The DHL Master Executive Council (MEC) has elected Captain James Bonney as chairman, First Officer Stephen Strieter as vice-chairman, and Second Officer W. Scott McDorman as secretary/treasurer. Each officer, elected by the 500 pilots represented by ALPA at DHL, will serve a two-year term, beginning March 1, 2003.

Captain Bonney, of Bakersfield, California, is an 18-year employee of DHL and has 23 years experience as a commercial pilot. He has previously served as an ALPA contract negotiator for DHL.

A Florence, Kentucky resident, First Officer Strieter, a pilot for 27 years, served over 20 years with the Air Force before beginning his career as a commercial pilot. He has been with DHL for nine years and previously worked for US Airways. This will be Strieter’s second term on the MEC, having served the last two years as secretary/treasurer.

Second Officer McDorman, came to DHL four years ago from Mesa Airlines, and has 15 years experience as a pilot. He currently lives in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia, and has previously served as the communications chairman of the DHL MEC.
